Hands-On Therapeutic Applications of Quantum Physics

Working with Biological Coherence in the Body’s Water Systems

with James Oschman, PhD

April 25-27, 2014 | Friday-Sunday, 9:30am-5:30pm | 21 CE contact hours | $450 | for practitioners only

collagen-waterJames Oschman is a world-respected pioneer in the field of energy medicine, and the originator of the living matrix concept. Now he extends this paradigm to include the attributes of the liquid crystalline components of the matrix (tendons, bones, fascia, ligaments, etc.), focusing on the applications of quantum physics to these systems.

Quantum physics (the study of matter and energy at the atomic level) is opening new vistas into all aspects of medicine, and the hands-on therapies have much to contribute once we explore ways we can interact with living tissues at the quantum level. An understanding of the structure and properties of spinning water molecules in the living matrix is especially valuable for all schools of therapy. Among other things, the perspective helps us understand the nature of consciousness and how intention can have such profound effects. A working hypothesis is that quantum coherence in and between the body’s systems plays a key role in health and healing.

In this workshop, Dr. Oschman will introduce you to exciting new research on the quantum properties of the living fabric of the body, including fascinating discoveries about the ways water is organized in living systems. Theory will be balanced with hands-on experiences of powerful new ways of interacting with these systems. It is also important that we create a vocabulary that will enable us to explain it to others, including the clients who are curious about and receptive to the new medicine that is emerging.

Some of the most exciting recent developments concern how the tissues in the body form and how one can connect with the formative process through an understanding of the relationship between the environment, water, living structures and their functions. Participants are encouraged to explore the exciting research of biomedical engineer Gerald Pollack in his books and lectures available on the Internet (e.g. http://www.ebnerandsons.com/pages/author and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-T7tCMUDXU

Jim Oschman believes that quantum physics is leading us into the next revolution in medicine – a revolution that can be furthered when complementary and alternative therapists apply the concepts that are emerging. With a little preparation, we will be able to showcase our new and highly successful understandings of how the human body works in health and disease. This model will likely replace the parts of the present medical system that are not working. The reason is that the orthodox medical model focuses mainly on the body as a collection of parts rather than as a whole system living within a complex environment that has many implications for health. In addition, some health conditions are energetic in nature and are not approachable by paradigms that leave energy and quantum physics out of the picture.

The conventional focus on biochemistry/pharmacology is being supplanted with a paradigm that is far more encompassing. In the new model, drugs, with their limited capacity to stimulate the healing process, take their place as one of many possible interventions. The holistic quantum models are moving forward because they have a far richer and diverse scientific basis. They are successful in promoting and restoring wellness, and the health care consumer resonates with the whole-system perspective. Holistic approaches are capable of resolving health issues that conventional medicine cannot cope with at all. The ability of massage and related methods to go directly to the causes of medical issues is impressing patients everywhere, and is the source of the good news that is traveling rapidly through the public’s awareness.

NOTE: This workshop is designed for licensed practitioners and students of the healing arts, as well as interested members of the academic community. The class will include a blend of lecture, discussion, and experiential exercises.

oschman_jamesJames L. Oschman, PhD is the President of Nature’s Own Research Association, and a leading authority on the science behind a wide variety of bodywork, energetic and movement therapies. He has a BS degree in biophysics and a Ph.D in biology from the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked in major research labs around the world, and his scientific papers have been published in the world’s leading journals. And, to learn about the theories and practices underlying complementary methods, Jim has both taught and attended classes at various schools around the world, and experienced a wide range of bodywork techniques, from A to Z (Acupuncture to Zero Balancing).

Jim is also the award-winning author of Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis, published by Churchill Livingstone. This book is giving the most ardent skeptics a logical and scientifically sound basis for a variety of therapies. Elsevier Health Sciences published Jim’s second book, Energy Medicine in Therapeutics and Human Performance. This research provides new insights into the ways the body can function in peak athletic or artistic performances and in profound therapeutic encounters. Jim’s research has led to useful insights that can help all therapists better understand and advance their work and explain it to others.

In 2013, Jim presented these emerging models internationally, e.g. in England, Norway, Belgium, Germany, Malta, Bulgaria, and in various cities in the USA. Jim has both the academic credentials and the background in alternative therapies to lead discussions on the emerging models. Jim is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the National Foundation for Alternative Medicine, and is the recipient of their Founders Award. He has also received a Distinguished Service Award from the Rolf Institute, and a Distinguished Service Award from the Second International Fascia Research Congress held in Amsterdam in 2009.
