Successful teaching relies not only on knowledge of the subject matter being presented – but on a set of core competencies in the art and craft of teaching.

This intensive will introduce you to these competencies, and will provide an opportunity to develop (or increase) your knowledge, skills and abilities in following key areas:

  • Theory and Methodology of Somatic Education
  • Dynamics of the Teacher/Student Relationship
  • Presentation skills
  • Management of the classroom environment
  • Observation, assessment and evaluation skills

Teacher Skills Intensive will build your capabilities and your confidence, so that you will have greater satisfaction and success in your educational endeavors. Our goal is to work hard and have fun!

You will learn through a variety of methods including lecture, demonstration, small and large group discussion, and somatic practices. We encourage you to take the first step towards becoming a great teacher… or bring your skills to the next level in this dynamic workshop. It is recommended, but not required for admission into The Spirit of Learning®.
